Love After Friday (A Novel)

Sometimes love has its own timeline.

I'm thrilled to finally share a glimpse of my upcoming novel, Love After Friday – a story that has lived in my heart long before it found its way to the page.

What happens when you meet the right person at the wrong time? Can a connection formed in just seven days survive five years of separation? And what does it take to bridge two fundamentally different worlds when fate offers an unexpected second chance?

When Seven Days Changes Everything

Set against Hawaii's breathtaking shores, Love After Friday follows Kai, a local surf instructor with deep island roots, and Jordan, a mainland architect seeking escape from heartbreak. Their chance meeting at a beach bar sparks an unexpected connection that transforms them both—but when Jordan's vacation ends, practical realities force them apart.

Five years later, when Jordan unexpectedly returns to the same Hawaiian beach, they discover that some connections don't diminish with time or distance. But can they overcome the practical impossibilities that separated them before?

More Than Just Another Love Story

While Kai and Jordan's relationship forms the heart of this novel, Love After Friday explores deeper currents:

  • The tension between belonging to a place and belonging with a person
  • How we build foundations strong enough to weather separation
  • The courage required to reimagine your life's direction
  • Finding family in unexpected forms

From sunrise views atop Mauna Kea to hidden waterfall pools, from architectural projects honoring indigenous design to a surf therapy foundation transforming young lives, the journey ultimately leads back to the shores where it all began—where two people must decide if some connections are worth fighting for, even when practical impossibilities suggest otherwise.

An early reader has called it "a love story that feels both impossible and inevitable" and "an emotional journey about finding home in another person without losing yourself."

I can't wait to share Kai and Jordan's full story with you. Some loves are brief, beautiful moments in time. Others? Others return like the tide, again and again, until we finally understand what they're trying to tell us.

Which will theirs be? You'll have to read to find out.

Coming 2026.
